Now that my home is equipped with quite a lot of backup power generation capabilities (an inverter and a generator), rest assured this will be a spectacular fall completely bereft of any adverse weather events (a la Irene in 2011 and Sandy in 2012).

It may be more localized -- I bought a generator in 2006 and Florida has not been hit by a hurricane since then.
