I have a friend from here that will be in NYC later this month. I am planning on ordering one and having it shipped to his NY address and then he will arrange shipping from there to me here in the RPI. I can save about $500 buying it in the USA from Apple. Based on Asus just announcing a Thunderbolt "2.0" certified motherboard, my guess is that whichever new Mac ships first cough*MacBook Pro*cough should start flying from China in 5 weeks. I would say to work out shipping details for your new love when you are in NY. Then send/leave a prepaid credit/debit card with enough money to cover it.
