Is there a generic web invoice form for use on the road? - Dennis S - 07-24-2006

I'm not up to using Timbuktu or similar. I'd like something to use to print basic sales invoices where I am on the road or to email it home and have it printed by an assistant.

Are you traveling with a laptop?

If so then why don't you just scan an invoice form and use that as a template?

And there's an acient trick to printing on the road if you don't have access to a printer -- fax it to your attention at your hotel. Incoming faxes are almost always complimentary and the quality can be very good.

If using other computers, then continuing in the line of thought above from MacMagus..... scan a generic invoice and carry it with you on a small USB flash drive in your pocket or briefcase.

I don't have a USB thumb drive, so I never thought of that. I assume I could use one made up in MS Office Excel and get it to work on a PC, right? And, then, email it to myself at home for my records. Does Mac and Windows work that well together with MS Office?

"Does Mac and Windows work that well together with MS Office?"

yes, if the versions of office are essentially the same or 1 generation apart. You can have a bigger spread, but things can start to get a bit weird if there is any special formatting.

There is also http://www.blinksale.com/home which won awards as well.
