Altec Lansing: inMotion iMmini Review - grad - 07-25-2006 Just received these speakers yesterday... http://www.alteclansing.com/product_details.asp?pID=IMMINI I was orginally contemplating buying either these speakers or the JBL On Tour for its portability, and use with either a shuffle or ipod mini. THE GOOD -They absolutely sound better than the JBL On Tour speakers. -Super lightweight for backpacking. Packs easily. The speakers are protected with sturdy grills. Comes with a snap-on plastic cover to further protect the speakers. -Included are Universal Electric Plugs for foreign countries!!! -Can be easily modified to fit other docking iPods THE BAD -If you turn the volume all the way up, the speakers have MORE noticible distortion than the JBL On Tour at a similar volume. (Not really a problem, because the sound fills a small room at about halfway up the volume knob.) AWESOME pickup, for only $36 (original MSRP $129). Well worth it!! Thanks all! Re: Altec Lansing: inMotion iMmini Review - rgG - 07-25-2006 The link in the post below is still good at Buy.com for $27.99 with free shipping. I like my set a lot, too. http://forums.macresource.com/read/1/132812/132812#msg-132812 Re: Altec Lansing: inMotion iMmini Review - grad - 07-25-2006 yes, sorry that was $27 |
