One reason I like my job... - bazookaman - 10-15-2013 In my post below I asked about which monitor to get. I picked a Dell U2713H. Which is a nice 27inch 2560x1440 Ultrasharp monitor. After I told the IT guy that the boss approved it, the IT guy came back to me and told me that the boss asked him "is there a bigger one?" So now THEY are trying to talk ME into getting the Dell 30 incher. Re: One reason I like my job... - cbelt3 - 10-15-2013 Don't DO it ! Hold out for smaller ! Better yet, have them drop ship the 30" one to me, and I"ll mail you a retro 15" ADC monitor ! Re: One reason I like my job... - Paul F. - 10-15-2013 Don't ask questions.. just buy the 30"! :-) Re: One reason I like my job... - jdc - 10-15-2013 27" @ 2560 x 1440 for $600 or 30" @ 2560 x 1600 for $1100 Ask for dual 27"s instead -- same cost =) Re: One reason I like my job... - Paul F. - 10-15-2013 jdc wrote: Oooh! Even better! Saving the company money, and getting dual 27" monitors! Re: One reason I like my job... - bazookaman - 10-15-2013 That IS a thought. I'm just not a two monitor person. And by that I mean two equal monitors. I've always had a large one for "work" and a small one for palettes and email etc. I can imagine using 1 27 inch monitor but not 2. Re: One reason I like my job... - Paul F. - 10-15-2013 Get better at imagining? ![]() Re: One reason I like my job... - Sam3 - 10-15-2013 I'd stick with the 30". It's nice and huge, plus it's a 16x10 whereas the 27" are 16x9. For productivity, I find the 16x10 form factor a better fit. Re: One reason I like my job... - Z - 10-15-2013 I believe the admiral said it best - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F4qzPbcFiA Re: One reason I like my job... - Filliam H. Muffman - 10-15-2013 I would say get a 55" 4K TV for a display, but none of the laptops that Dell sells have HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2 and therefore can't drive the display at 60 Hz. |
