I sold my paltry two shares of GOOG a couple years ago, when they had languished whilst AAPL skyrocketed... I put the money into AAPL (of course).
Sold a few other long term stocks that weren't doing very well, rearranged a few things, and had enough "left over" from the shuffling to buy three shares of Google...
Yesterday, 800-something a share, today, up 11% to just a hair over $1000 a share!
Think I'll hang on to the stock this time....

I have some GOOG and AAPL, a bit of AMZN as well as BRK.A, but I delegate the buy/sell decisions...FCNTX

Except for a small AAPL holding, I've gone all Total index in the past two years.
Takes the emotion out of it (as well as the gambling), but I do miss mini-celebrations like this. Ah well, guess I've got a fraction of GOOG within the Index as well.
