I use a 550VA for my cable modem and router for the occasional power fluctuations and it works perfectly. This is a VERY good price for this model.

Good catch. Definitely a bargain for this particular model. Wouldn't use it for a computer but just dandy for networking hardware, i.e. router, cable modem, vonage or ooma adapter, etc.

A few year ago I purchased an APC J10 on a rocking deal found on dealmac. It is normally quit expensive but I have to admit it is the best UPS I have ever owned. Amazon currently sells it for $440. I purchased it for $127 including shipping.
