Dictation in Mavericks? - chopper - 10-23-2013

Seems like this may actually be something useful and not needless eye candy or neckbeard joy. Anyone tested it yet? Will it say, transcribe a three minutes session?

I also wonder if Mavericks breaks Transmit 3.7.

Good morning well I'm dictating this entire reply via a new feature in OS X Mavericks and essentially working very well.

You can have dictation two different ways in Mavericks. One is the typical speech to text dictation that is done online similar to how it was in Mountain lion. The other way is to do the additional download, nearly 1 GB, and it types for you on board on the computer. This gives you type as you speak capability.

Yes.

Just open System Preferences: Dictation & Speech and activate the Use Enhanced Dictation option. This adds support for continuous dictation and output along with offline usage.

Accuracy, in my brief experience, has been excellent.
