Those Hidden Wallpapers in Mountain Lion - graylocks - 10-23-2013 a long time ago i read an article about some really beautiful wallpapers that were hidden in Mountain Lion. I was using one of them for my macbook air. when i upgraded to mavericks last night that wallpaper was gone and the trick i used to find them doesn't seem to work in Mavericks. so i hunted them down on my ML iMac and will copy those folders to somewhere safe before i upgrade the iMac. don't know why apple chose to hide them but if you are still on ML you might want to grab them before you upgrade. maybe someone knows where there are, if they are, in Mavericks. here's the path: /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.Framework/Versions/A/Resources/Default Collections/ these are the names of the folders 1-National Geographic 2-Aerial 3-Cosmos 4-Nature Patterns here's the original article with thumbnails of the images. Re: Those Hidden Wallpapers in Mountain Lion - riley5108 - 10-23-2013 They're still there, but in the screen saver. Located: Library > Screen Savers > Default Collections Hope that helps. There's is nothing to this... just put a copy of the folder if pics anywhere you like, then go to the Sys Prefs to add that folder to you options. Click the '+' button on the bottom left corner and choose the folder you'd like to add. It will appear in the left column under the 'Pictures' folder ![]() |
