What's the most recent Christmas song that you think is or will become a classic? - pinkoos - 11-15-2013
The "Love" station on SirusXM has already converted to 24 hour Christmas music and the vast majority of songs that are playing are what we would consider "classics:" White Christmas, Sleigh Ride, Rudolph, etc.
This got me thinking...what is the most recent Christmas song that you think is or will become a classic? I think there's a relative dearth of Christmas songs these days (and in the past decade or so) that are or should be classics.
The most recent ones I can think of include:
"Do they know it's Christmas" 1984
and, before that,
"Happy Xmas (War is Over)" John Lennon/Yoko Ono 1971
Am I missing some songs after 1984 and/or between 1971 and 1984?

For instance, Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights (celebrated November 3 this year). Chanukkah is the Festival of Lights. That doesn't make Diwali Chanukkah.
