Video issue? - kap - 11-25-2013
After upgrading our desktop from Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit to Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit, I sometimes get weird characters shown as I type. The gibberish superimposes briefly on the last few characters only, then switch back to the normal characters. Additionally, FF hangs quite often. Not sure what causes it. Any idea?
DELL Optiplex 760 compact.
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (upgrade)
Intel C2D E7300 2.67 GHz
4 Gig RAM DDR2
80 Gig HHD
Firefox 25

At chance you can get a screenshot/photo of the weird characters? It might help us diagnose.

Does the issue appear to be isolated to just one program?

So probably not hardware related then, I assume you have the latest version of FF? Maybe try reinstalling it? Any funny plug-ins?

Yes, it's the latest and greatest version. Retinstalled it 2x. No plug-in added.
