Well OK maybe not, but our kids' school district isn't taking any chances with tomorrow.

Well, the makeup days will take a while, but at least they'll get the 4th of July off !

In Minnesota, all districts have vowed not to extend the school year further into the summer. Scheduled "off" days, like Presidents Day, are now "on" days.

well, our teacher contracts stipulate that classes end by June 30, so there was talk of cancelling April vacation last year and/or going to school on Saturdays. :-)

Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Cobb county schools have followed Cherokee's lead. The roads all seem fine, but maybe they are worried about people not having their abandoned cars back.
We are deciding tonight whether or not to open tomorrow. The main concern is nurses and other support staff not being able to come in due to all the kids being out of school again.
