t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - clay - 04-14-2014 for those of you interested in getting the 200MB/month free data for your iPad (referenced in recent thread:http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,1707319 ), T-mobile is offering their sims free for a couple of days. Pick up a few here: http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/117960/t-mobile---t-mobile-prepaid-phone-sim-card-activation-kit-full-micro-or-nano-size Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - rz - 04-14-2014 And if you miss out, just wait a few weeks. I got my free sims a few months ago and have noticed they announce the free deal every few weeks. I haven't used the free data as much as I thought I would. Unfortunately for me, T-Mobile's signal is very weak where I work. Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - carl - 04-14-2014 I ordered my sim a few minutes ago, I have no current T-Mobile acct. Hopefully I will be able to effortlessly set up the free 200mb/month deal when I receive the sim. I'll post my experience after the sim arrives. Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - GuyGene - 04-14-2014 You can use TMobile sim in ATT iPad? Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - mrbigstuff - 04-14-2014 Hmm. I have a SIM in my desk that is years old (from a prepaid phone) that I never used. Is this the same thing? It's never occurred to me that I could use it for this purpose. Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - gabester - 04-14-2014 Any recommendations on a compatible hotspot that I can buy? Or should I just spring for a Nexus 5? Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - Bill in NC - 04-14-2014 And if you need a little more data Red Pocket offers a $10, 1GB/month data-only plan (running on T-Mobile). Some people use it for their phones (VOIP calls only). You do have to buy the SIM/microSIM/nanoSIM ($10): http://goredpocket.com/red-pocket-4g-mobile-internet-sim.html Red Pocket also is beta-testing a cheap ($20/month,) 300 minute/unlimited text/1GB data plan running on Verizon: http://goredpocket.com/activatev Must bring your own device (BYOD), which must be a Verizon 3G phone (not Sprint flashed to Verizon or Verizon 4G flashed to 3G) Re: t-mobile prepaid SIMs available free (get 200MB/month free for your iPad) - RAMd®d - 04-14-2014 I have a SIM in my desk that is years old (from a prepaid phone) that I never used. Is this the same thing? Maybe somebody knows more, but I wouldn't assume they're interchangeable. I suppose it couldn't hurt to try for the free MB. The site shows two different SIMs for tablets and phones. One may be a data-only SIM, if there is such a thing. FInally! - RAMd®d - 04-14-2014 Ok, SIM is ordered, though I had to give a credit card number. I'll keep the ATT sim as T-Mobile's coverage may be a problem. If I can get to WiFi, that my not be much of an issue. |
