Adobe scare a few minutes ago - ka jowct - 04-20-2014 Stumbled across the problem by accident, by way of an accidental mouse click on ID CS4 in the dock. The application would not launch and I got an error message stating that "Licensing has stopped working" which went on to suggest that I seek the help of my IT administrator (that would be me) or Adobe support. Photoshop CS4 failed to launch with the same error message. Was Adobe slapping me down for using Little Snitch to limit their access to my computers? Paranoid minds wanted to know. I searched at Adobe Support for the error (150:30) and found a list of possible solutions right away, with instructions to try them in the order given. The first one worked: Go to Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher and delete the FLEXnet Publisher folder. Whew. Re: Adobe scare a few minutes ago - Speedy - 04-20-2014 Not as scarey as having to update Reader. Re: Adobe scare a few minutes ago - Ombligo - 04-20-2014 At least you got a solution. We had that occur on some school computers with CS3 and could get no assistance from Adobe because they no longer supported that release. Re: Adobe scare a few minutes ago - ka jowct - 04-20-2014 Do they support CS4? I kind of doubt it. I wonder how much help I would have gotten if I had needed phone support. |
