Cree 100W Equivalent Daylight (5000K) A21 Dimmable LED Light Bulb (5-Pack)
I am about to spend $107 on those, any reason not to? I need two bright DIMMABLE LEDs for the kitchen.

You know you can buy them one at a time, right? Also, do you really want 5000K lights? I find them to be unpleasantly too far into the blue for most domestic uses. Garage or laundry room is fine, but kitchen?

I agree that 5000K is too blue, but wife likes it that way and I am color blind, so who am I to complain?
NEVERMIND, I saw the 1 unit in stock at the local store, so I am going to pick it up tomorrow

5000k for reading the morning paper and playing cards at the kitchen table is great for my eyes.
Getting just the two you need now makes sense if you don't have immediate use for the other three with recent price drops.

Too harsh on the color... wait for 3000-3300K, then pull the trigger.
$21/ea is almost bearable, lower is always better.
When 3000-3300K hits $20/ea, I'm in for test drive.

I also like 3000K, but there seems to be a gap, plenty of choices at 2700K and 5000+K. The one model I found with 3000K is Insignia. I believe it has CREE LEDs inside but the electronics is made by BestBuy.

I accidentally bought some 5000k bulbs and I don't like them at all. The color is way off. I replaced them with 2700k bulbs which I like much better.

I think it is probably a good idea to wait...in about a year, the price for 100W equivalent will probably drop significantly. My 2¢ worth...

I can't wait. I will replace the switch with an occupancy dimmer and CFL do not work with dimmer. So I need to change to LEDs at the same time.
