I have a lot of her early work.

She started out as kind of a weird performance artist, but is constantly improving.

At this rate, she'll be a deity in a few short years.

If she and David Garret had a child it would be some kind of hipster superbeing.

The way she uses that GIANT microphone is deeply provocative.

Hipster. Hipsters are wannabees..

She's the shit..no doubt and exhibits no hipster qualities.

There have been people that have said they'd like to die and be that microphone. It's a Shure Sm58.

She got my attention with "Fidelity" but I have found some of her lyrics to be kind of obscure.
Great voice tho, exotic breauty, and I love this new year's anthem

and these lyrics from "on the radio"
This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't

You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath

No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took

And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood

And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again

From the subject, I thought this was going to be a case of a spammer taking over your email account. Smile

BLooz..bring on the obscure.

If you look at folks trying to figure her songs out..they range in interpretation, far flung..WONDERFUL thing!! People being just a bit challenged..excellent. I like it when any arts hooks me with a certain beauty that keeps me there...asking the other questions

..in music..if it's not MUSICAL and then obscure..i wont stay..i want groove, melody, dynamic as a base for lyric..

It means that they're accessible..obscure, perhaps..but obscure and, at least, accessible and songful..fuckin great!!
