[Pics] Bicycles with extremely fat tires - freeradical - 04-30-2014 These are pics I took of some bicycles at a fancy bike shop in the Land Park area of Sacramento. I think they're the biggest and fattest tires I've ever seen on bicycles. I think most people have used them in the snow, but I've heard they're a blast to ride in general. It doesn't seem like they would be fun on a summer ride, but I haven't ridden one yet, so maybe we'll see. I think it would be painful to replace the tires at 100.00 a piece though! kj. They were popular before the sixties but it wasn't good for much beyond riding in the woods, the beach and sand pits. :-) I guess that was the idea, don't leave the yard. My second ( real ) bike was an english racer (raleigh roadster). Something one could actually use and have fun getting somewhere in the street with.
