...sort of.

The video is pretty screwed up, but they're looking for help improving it if any of you video wizards are interested in trying your hand.

WooHoo!
I've been waiting to hear how the first stage did!
Looks like it made the braking and turn-around at least...
Off to a space board to see how far it got, or if it actually hit "zero altitude at zero velocity" above the ocean before the engines cut and it went "splooosh".

I'm going to call them and offer to help. I have been part of a team that mounted a hight speed digital video camera system to the nose of an ICBM to catch the nosecone shroud splitting and ejecting. I wonder what their hardware solution is.

The stage hovered at 0 velocity for 10 seconds at a few meters was what SpaceX reported a few days ago.

Here's one more or less clean frame someone posted on another board...
Rocket effects on the waters surface! So it made the whole trip!

On their Facebook page SpaceX posted:
Data upload from tracking plane shows first stage landing in Atlantic was good! Flight computers continued transmitting for 8 seconds after reaching the water. Stopped when booster went horizontal. Several boats enroute through heavy seas...

Unfortunately, the heavy seas prevented the boats from reaching the stage before it sank and was lost. Nonetheless, I count this as a huge success for SpaceX.

In a few weeks (or months, depending on delays) there will be ANOTHER Falcon 9 v1.1 launch, with stage recovery attempt...
And this time, they'll be aiming for shallower water, so even if the stage sinks, they MAY be able to recover it for examination.

Um, Blue Origins uses a lot of GoPro cameras. (or so I have been told)

I wish they were available a decade ago. I would have bought a dozen for work.
