Buyer Beware: Their return policy is borderline criminal: "MONOPRICE will replace defective 3D printers with a new, refurbished, or used printer, at MONOPRICE'S discretion, if the RMA is issued within thirty (30) days of the original date of purchase, as shown on the original invoice."

So you buy it, it arrives defective, they can just ship you a used printer and you can't do anything about it.

I don't disagree that it's a lousy policy... but when you're buying a 3D printer for $2000 less than the next best deal, well, you have your choice to roll the dice or not.

It isn't $2k less than the next best deal. There are other printers in the $1k to $2000 range.

Hmm... I must be a bit behind the times... Last I checked, commercial models (non-kits) were still $3000-ish.
I'm not surprised they're coming down rapidly, though!

These guys have very low priced 3D printers. they advocate open source and do not use proprietary supplies.

They are all Mac for there business. The owner has a great story and gave a wonderful presentation to out local Sacramento Mac User group since they are based nearby in Lincoln, CA

In New York?

Just go to Staples for your 3D printing needs.
