I've got a zebralight H502 floodlight that I like.
In looking for a similar styled 1-AA non-flood zebralight it looks like the 502 style has been discontinued.
Was there ever a matching non-flood version of this light?
It's not that I want a matched set, just that I like the style.
If there is no such animal, what 1-AA LED flashlights might I consider?
It's just something to keep handy in a jacket pocket. I'd like a low power mode to conserve the battery. OD Green would be nice. The black "tactical" look is usually overdone and often cliché.
The Flashlight mode on the 'Phone works very well as a bright floodlight. But something with a narrower beam and a little more throw, as the cool kids say, would be nice.
While we're at it, I have an old 1W Inova 2-C flashlight that I also like. The C cells last forever. I'd like to look for an aluminum, more contemporarily styled light. Any suggestions?
Oh, and I looked at the CandlePower forum, but there's just waaaaaay to much to wade through over there.
I'm looking for informed aficionados, not zealots.

I don't have a specific suggestion. Sorry. I do wonder about getting another 1 AA light, since you have one of the best available already. Why not another type of battery? I find 1xAA slightly large for the pocket, so I gravitate to AAA lights.
In that vein, you could consider the streamlight microstream, a tough, inexpensive, dependable AAA light that has a pretty tight spot and good throw. It won't be like the ZL, but it also costs under $20. You can loan it out, carry it around without worry, and use for work, etc, and replace easily if lost. I think they can be modded to fit other heads that are adjustable, but I am perfectly happy as it is. It is large for a AAA light, so similar to AA, but thinner and lighter, and feels right in the hand while still light in the pocket.

I don't own one, and get confused by all their options and put off by the price, but you could look around the Eagletac site, since they offer a turbo head as an accessory.

There are also 2xAAA penlights (the Preon looks cool). Going to cr123 would probably open up lots of other choices.

I stopped using small flashlights except for headlamps years ago. Except for the free Harbor Freight ones.. they sit around in drawers just in case.
I still like the Maglite structure... waterproof, reliable, and you can use it as a hammer / weapon in a pinch. The LED 3 D cell version is pretty nice and throws an excellent beam a very long distance.

Ditto on the Fenix.
A friend gave me a 3-cell Maglight LED flashlight as a birthday present. Nice, but too hefty for everyday use.

I know this is Maglite, but it's a different form factor than what is typically thought of. It is AAA, not AA. I have several of these and they are pretty darn good!

I bought a 2 pack at Costco with C batteries and I'm very happy with it. Also, the 3AAA battery models are very good now.
My LED modified Mag lights are all collecting dust.

I love the CandlePower forum and I am a bit of a flashlight aholic. I don't necessarily have a LOT of lights but I do like the ones I have.
My favorite EDC is the Streamlight Stylus Pro which uses two AAA batteries. I know that doesn't fit your battery request but I wanted to mention it as I've been very happy with it. The light is fairly focused and the batteries last a very long time.

Back to your battery requirement I would suggest the Cree Q5. This flashlight is amazingly inexpensive, ruggedly built, and can do both wide and narrow beam. I buy them in groups, give them away at holidays, and have them in drawers through the house. I have one of these, and it can be used with one AA battery, or you can add the included extender and run it with two AA's. The extra battery increases the runtime, not the brightness. I've been quite happy with it. Note that the outputs are quite different.
