Today, the Pittsburg Penguins' twitter feed got into a war with some troll and decided to end it by calling on their 500,000 followers to 'blow up' the troll's twitter feed with nonsense....

They were forced to issue an apology for having the bad taste to use the phrase "blow up" on this day...

I think this is going a bit too far...

Note that even with the apology, as of right now, the advertisement is still up.
No link- those parasites need no more hits.

Also, about being parasites: they are using an image by illustrator Bob Engle on their page with the Artist's signature removed.

You won't see me wrap myself up in the flag no matter what but the examples of sales at that link are crass.

I wonder if it's ok to say "blow up" on any other day where we're bombing the p!ss out of stuff all over the world. I get it, but it' still hypocritical to make an issue out of it.

What got "blown up" on 9/11/2001? Doesn't make any sense.

I wondered that, too at first, but then figured perhaps the planes may have upon impact?

Building 7 was blown up, or was it imploded?

How is this different from the so called Memorial Day sales (where we remember the sacrifices/deaths of millions of soldiers)? Not saying there aren't differences, but superficially (or at first glance), there doesn't appear to be.
