iPhone 6 - How Much Gigabytes ? - cbelt3 - 09-12-2014

I use a 64GB iPhone 4s. It's got a lot of my music and photos on it. But even so, it runs out of space when I'm using the camera a lot.

I'm thinking about a 6. The plus is juuust a bit too large for my taste.

What does the MRF think about the 128GB ? Is it worth $100 more ?

With cheaper iCloud options, will you be able to use Photo Stream to backup photos that you can then delete from your iPhone?

Go with the 128GB model.

Then you can begin the process of re-ripping your music as Apple Lossless.

Always go with the largest storage space you can afford, cloud storage be damned.

If I were buying right now, it would be the 128 for sure.

I went with 128GB model, but also got the 6+ with the goal of watching movies on it when I travel.

Exact same boat as you -- I have 4s 64 and run out of space, even with iTunes Match. I'll soon be purchasing the 6 in 128. iTunes Match and the Cloud don't do me a lot of good...I'm on Sprint (looking to change providers to a faster one) and streaming in the wild is ALWAYS crappy.

If you're like my sister, the phone's storage space is irrelevant.

Nothing gets moved off the phone. Photos and videos just sit there consuming space. Ditto her MacBook. She now can't back up her phone because her Mac's 250GB hard disk is full.

Come to think of it, I've got a brother in law with the same issue. He can't even install OS updates because is Air is out of space.

The lesson is, if you are disciplined to purge the phone/computer, you might discover you don't need as much storage space as you thought. Speaking of which, I need to lose at least 100GB of junk from my laptop ASAP. I just lost my Documents, Downloads and Desktop folders from another Mac last week and don't miss any of it.

If you're cramped at 64GB now, the logical thing to do is to get the 128, since really, file sizes are not exactly trending downward these days.
