No contract ATT iPhone 5 16GB $250 at Best Buy - pinkoos - 09-12-2014

Saw this deal on dealmac. Once you click "add to package," pick "unactivated device" and it shows you the $250 price with no contract extension or contract required at all.

Seems a pretty good option for someone not needing the size and oomph of the newer models.

Thanks pink, but Apple Pay is THE thing that is making me finally get an iPhone. And must have iPhone 6 for that. Still, a good deal there.

Nah, you can get that 5, sign up with a compatible MVNO and save money each month.

And then buy an Apple Watch and use it with the 5 --- the Watch has the NFC and TouchID in it.

I'm 89% certain of it.

I thought I read somewhere that you can use an Apple Watch in concert with a 5, 5c or 5s to use Apple Pay. Can't find the link right now, though.

Yep, first paragraph: http://bgr.com/2014/09/10/apple-pay-how-it-works/

I would not be 100% on the 5, the 5S yes, because it was mentioned at the KeyNote that ApplePay would use TouchID. The Watch will support iPhone5, but maybe not ApplePay

Want to use Apple Pay with your iPhone 5, 5C, or 5S? You'll need an Apple Watch

Most notably, Apple says in a press release that the Apple Watch will let iPhone 5, 5C, and 5S users use Apple Pay. That means that you won't have to upgrade to the latest phone to use Apple's contactless mobile payment system. It also means that Touch ID isn't a necessary component to use Apple Pay.

Hey. That's not bad. How hard is it to get an unlock for the iPhone 5?

Edit: If that was a Verizon model, I would have jumped on it since the SIM is unlocked.
