I'm downloading it now...

Been running the beta for awhile, I loaded the latest beta this week which should be the same as the shipping OS.

The National Park Service last I checked.

Didn't see it in the App store. Ran a search for Yosemite and found it listed as a Utility. Well sure, but ...

Says it's downloading, and maybe it is. Oh now I see it in ~/Applications. "OS X Yosemite"

For some reason I figured it would be "Mac OS X Install" or some such. Right below it Pages has snuck in, downloading first. Sorta odd.

Anyone have a direct link to download the installer? I have 4 machines to update and not real fast internet & at 5+ gb each I'd be here all night.

Try this, got it from the App Store's drop down list for it.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-x-yosemite/id915041082?mt=12

Nevermind, no that's not a direct d/l link.

I updated after the presentation today. So far I am finding it very confusing.

You sir, are not the best judge of confusing, right now. Big Grin
Hope your recovery is going well. Now you will have a new OS to play with while you are on bed rest.

Installing, with "18 minutes left." Been that way for 10 minutes but isn't frozen.

Betting Apple's servers are getting hammered. I'll walk away and let it ride. Tomorrow morning it'll either be done or bricked and need a restore from backup. Either way I don't care tonight.

But does Apple still let you restore from backup once you "upgrade"?
