manual check of toner - Fritz - 10-19-2014 my Canon MF 4350d has been telling me I'm out of toner for 6 months. But the shake and bake brings it back most times. This morning I blocked the sensor, so no more warnings. But that means I need to manually check the toner level. How does one do this? Re: manual check of toner - GGD - 10-19-2014 With my Brother lasers with tape over the sensor holes, I do it the old fashion way, like my early LaserWriter that didn't have any toner sensor. You just wait until the print quality degrades, and shaking doesn't make it any better. You could go by page counts also for a rough estimate of when it's getting to be time to buy the replacement to have on hand. Re: manual check of toner - OWC Jamie - 10-19-2014 104 cartridge refill kits want you to make a hole with a hole making tool ![]() to refill. You could make a hole, pour the toner out into a tared beaker and weigh how much toner you have left. ![]() Re: manual check of toner - Fritz - 10-19-2014 page count tells me I'm 1500 over the average. I won't refill. Well reviewed V4ink on Amzn for $12 or so. Re: manual check of toner - hal - 10-19-2014 Is that printer working with 10.10?
