actually, it's Safari that doesn't support the proper technology.

Firefox can do it, but Apple's own web stuff can't. Hmm.....

Why useful?

My frustrations is students that have mismatches between home and school word processors. These same students often do not have flash drives. Their work-around has been to type a complete assignment into Hotmail or Yahoo so they can work on it in both places, then copy and paste it for printing. Writely will be a great soultion that gives them plenty of editing and formatting power.

As a test, today I created a 6 page, 2800 word document from scratch in Writely. Plenty speedy, plenty of features and very shallow learning curve.

Be nice if worked in Safari...and being that is uses some Javascript, the IT guy will freak out. Definitely a keeper, even at beta.
