TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - Jimmypoo - 08-21-2006 http://www.buy.com/retail/clearance/DOTD.asp?loc=14982&sku=70015774 Just wondering. It's items like these that always keep me just every so slightly interested in keeping a peecee box around. Another great question would be.... if you stuffed this into a Mac Pro tower, and booted into WinDuds.... would it work then??? Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - elmo3 - 08-21-2006 if you run Windows on a Mac Pro tower, you're running Windows. Can you think of any reason why it wouldn't work? Of course not. It's just a windows box at that point. Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - Jimmypoo - 08-21-2006 And in a G4/G5? (The question encompassed all --- the addendum to the inquiry, oh Great Communicator, Elmo, was the Mac Pro question). Well, it doesn't have PCI slots. That makes "stuffing it in" a bit more difficult. There have been projects out there to get this kind of thing working but they're far from finished or reliable. Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - elmo3 - 08-21-2006 I repeat: if you run Windows on a Mac Pro tower, you're running Windows. Can you think of any reason why it wouldn't work? Of course not. It's just a windows box at that point. Why you would even question whether this would run in a Windows box is beyond me. People, understand--once you boot into Windows, you are running a Windows box. Period. Does it run on Macintosh? That is, does it run on the Mac OS? A quick trip to kworld.com says....what? I'll leave it to the reader to find out. Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - rgG - 08-21-2006 kworld.com is a KPMG site. What do a bunch of accountants know about this card? Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - Seacrest - 08-21-2006 [quote rgG]kworld.com is a KPMG site. Re: TV Tuner cards/Capture ... any chance this is Mac compatible? - AllGold - 08-21-2006 Nope, none, zero chance of Mac compatibility. |
