I would guess it is as easy as swapping around pages in Acrobat (nearly impossible).

It seems very odd. MS Office is about as complete as it gets, but you can't create a random slideshow?

There are dozens of programs if you want a slideshow. PowerPoint is more than that but I haven't ever really been a fan of the program.
