Yosemite, Messages: Controlling another computer - SKYLANE - 11-24-2014

I noticed reading on web last night, that in Yosemite I can control another computer after given permission from within Messages. This is going to be terrific for helping my mom (400 miles away) with her computer.

Is this pretty secure?

I believe that has been part of iChat for years. I might be mistaken though.

I can't recall when, but screen sharing was removed from it. You could do it in Messages in Mavericks, kinda. You had to have an AIM account and initiate it via AIM while in Messages.

Here is how to do it if both machines are running Yosemite

Otherwise Massages/iChat or TeamViewer are fine.
