Depending on how long they were married, in many states, she would be entitled to half. If Okla is among these states, then $1B might just be too meager.

To some people getting a divorce; it's not about the dollar amount. It's about punishing the other person. She would be far happier taking "half" than taking a billion dollars, regardless of how comfortable a life the better part of a billion dollars will provide her.

Court already ruled that was her share.
She didn't accept the check since she's appealing.

I haven't seen Richard Cory since ENC1101 (Freshman English). I still remember the assignment - 750 words minimum on the meaning of a 125 word poem.
As far as the check.. think of the fun of taking it to your bank drive-through.
