Could someone Explain the new Macbook port - Printable Version

Could someone Explain the new Macbook port - Microman - 05-06-2015

I know there is one. And it handles everything.

But how do you charge and use hdmi at the same time?

And how many adapters would a person have to buy and carry to meet their needs.

USB, HDMI, etc..

Only if you need it. if I bought a new MB for my wife, she would never need it. One port would be plenty.
