Mr. MVP QB Exposed as a Cheat - MrNoBody - 05-07-2015 and a liar! The New York Times - wrote:Full Story "But investigators implied that Brady had lied when he denied any knowledge of the operation or of McNally’s name and role. They found that Brady had spoken to Jastremski on the phone for more than 13 minutes starting shortly before 7:30 a.m. the morning after the A.F.C. championship game, their first phone conversation in six months. At Brady’s behest, for the first time that Jastremski could recall, they met in the quarterbacks’ meeting room later in the morning." Superbowl MVP* edit: d@mn fat fingers Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - Speedy - 05-07-2015 I really doubt if Brady knew. He's simply too stupid to have done this. Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - pRICE cUBE - 05-07-2015 Yep, they are probably all cheaters. I don't believe there are any honest people left in pro sports, the money is too high. I also believe that the NFL is passively permissive of the ball pressure situation. Why else else would league rules allow for the balls to be tested by the refs two hours before the game but then be out of their control until the game begins. Some former NFL QB have admitted to this with Aaron Rogers of the Packers saying he prefers the balls overinflated. Am I saying cheating is ok? No. I think they should be punished. According to league rules, improper ball pressure is merely a fine. It will be interesting to see how Goodell handles this. The larger issue, unless the NFL changes the procedures of the game ball chain of custody, teams will tailor the ball pressure to their QB's preference. They did this for the Superbowl. If I read between the lines from the comments from former plays turned analysts, the Colts broke some kind of unspoken code for reporting this to the NFL. The balls were regulation pressure in the second half of the AFC Championship game and the Colts couldn't do anything to stop the blowout. In the future it is highly likely that the Colts will get ratted by other teams now that they have broken the code. Seems like every few months former athletes either come clean or are exposed for cheating. Problem with that is they cannot be punished by the NFL for it. The money has been made and the players can't be removed from the Hall Of Fame. Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - OWC Jamie - 05-07-2015 I have concluded that it is more probable than not that I will continue to not give a crap about Deflategate. Attorney Ted Wells most certainly has a future writing Presidential speeches should he ever want to. Oh, geeeze. - RAMd®d - 05-07-2015 "But investigators implied that Brady had lied…" linked… threatens… detailed accounts... circumstantial evidence… implicated... saying most likely… critical questions outstanding... unable to determine… more probable than not... “To say we are disappointed in its findings, which do not include any incontrovertible or hard evidence of deliberate deflation of footballs at the A.F.C. championship game, would be a gross understatement,” Kraft said... LOL Hardly the stuff of proof. It's bound to appease wishful "thinkers" though. I don't know if he knew or not, and don't care. I just wish the subject line would be accurate and not sink to the level of click bait. Unless I missed the [/sarc]. Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - silvarios - 05-07-2015 Yeah, not like the Patriots have cheated before… Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - STL - 05-07-2015 Rightful punishment - Suspend Brady for a year without pay Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - rjmacs - 05-07-2015 The best part is that they clearly didn't need to cheat to win. What tools. Re: Mr. MPV QB Exposed as a Cheat - ka jowct - 05-07-2015 I'd be OK with expanding the PSI range a bit to accommodate individual QB's preferences or to account for weather conditions. Stealing other teams' signals was and is commonplace according to former players. The Pats used tape but that was the only new wrinkle. Mancini ratting them out was the most unusual part of that scandal. And again in that case, the "cheating" was dumb. But the response has perhaps made teams more cautious about doing it.
