Skinned knee, elbow, back... do chores today or tomorrow? - M A V I C - 06-13-2015

Took a dirt jump too fast on my bike and crashed pretty good. One knee is skinned pretty well, as is a portion of my back. I should probably go get some large bandages to cover them.

I have things I need to get done around the house like changing the oil in our car. I'm trying to figure out if I should wait for the abrasions to scab over fully or if I should just keep moving today.

Either way works. Or keep putting the chores off Smile

As my father would say: Dry yur eyes, take yur skirt off and get back to work.

You could alway take the car to have its oil changed. Really. Its ok. No one will think less of you.

you're M A V I C. Have the wife put on her Daisy Dukes, and do the oil change, as you sit in a lawn chair sipping a frosty cold beverage and "supervise"

Daisy did her own oil changes on her Jeep, BTW. She also had a Road Runner before that.

You will be hurting tomorrow. Take some advil/aleve/tylenol....etc and get back to work. Tomorrow you will feel like a turd. Been there done that. Happened recently again. Was walking with my son and daughter. Son said his skateboard was a little off. I jumped on and all was good until I turned hard and lost my balance. The tire bit the board and I went over and fell on my side and scraped my elbow. Son was surprised I got up. I kept on walking. After the walk. I took some advil and kept on moving. Next day, pain and stiffness set in.

You may not need to change the oil so soon according the the thread below.

Smile

I don't know how well my car was taken care of before I bought it, so I've been changing it more frequently than I've needed to. But, yeah, I can wait a little longer.

Glad you're ok! Well, except the minor fender bender injuries...

Do it tomorrow.. Or later than tomorrow..
