AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Microman - 07-16-2015 Wife going to be spending a week in Rosarita Beach area at a medical facility. She is going as the "helper friend" for a person seeking treatment at this medical facility on the beach. So what does she do, call up AT&T and add a Mexico Baja package.? Text out going I have heard would be .50 , incoming free. or other choices. Yea, I know leave the phone at home. oh, by the way, that Cruise my wife took off the coast of mexico and got hit with a bunch of charges for use, were knocked down by about 90 to 95%. Paid approx $60 on that experience. Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Will Collier - 07-16-2015 If you can get the phone unlocked, best bet is to ask a local to get you a TelMex SIM card (or buy one beforehand on eBay). Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - cbelt3 - 07-16-2015 TMobile just went all of North America - From Canada to Mexico. A prepaid may be the best solution... http://explore.t-mobile.com/3countryplan Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Microman - 07-16-2015 Prepaid, how would that work, buy another phone. G Daughter has T Mobile, and lives with us. Switch phones with Grammy, yea that would work <---- sarcasm We have an old ATT 4S she could experiment with. Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Speedy - 07-16-2015 If the facility has WiFi, then Viber for text and voice. Have her turn on Airplane mode to shut off the cell signal and WiFi, and then turn WiFi back on. Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Speedy - 07-16-2015 cbelt3 wrote: Nice! Thanks. Re: AT&T use while in Baja Mexico, - Microman - 07-16-2015 What if we took wifes ATT iphone 5S into a TMobile store, and signed up for a month and added their Mexico Canada option for $10, So $60 and have them give her a SIM that would go in her iphone 5s. Then everything would be just like here. And no overages.?? 5S, might be better than the 4S, as it would not be as fast. Would that work? |
