After messing with a friend's HP for a while, we gave up. There is a new(used) Mac 17" 2.66ghz core 2 duo in it's place. Flash seems to work fine for the online course videos and other flash related educational programs that need to be viewed.
The HP will be relegated to menial work such as word processing and showing family photos.

The profiler says Core 2 duo 2.6ghz, not 2.66.

As I mentioned in the other thread, that system needed serious help, it wasn't just about Flash, it needed a clean installation, but replacement works just as well.

I am sure it does but I am not going to take the time to do it, projects need to get done.
