iPhoto for Mavs? - Buzz - 08-06-2015

Have iLife '11 DVD, which predates Mavs, but should qualify for free update. Alas no joy via App Store. Upgraded MBP from Lion to Mavs, now trying to resurrect iPhoto, but no luck linking to iPhoto 9.5.1 updater. Any non-torrent suggestions w/o upgrading to Yosemite? Thanks.

Edit: FYI iPhoto Library from Lion is approx 320GB and want to save prior albums/filing structures.

The newer versions of iPhoto available through the app store aren't free upgrades to your iLife '11 set. They separated the individual apps and discontinued iLife as a package when they switched to the app store model.

Edit: looks like you will have to download it illegally, as it's no longer available through the app store. Bummer!

I believe this will update iPhoto from the iLife '11 DVD to make it compatible:

iPhoto 9.4.3
