Over-promising, failing to ship and defaulting on their crowdfunding campaign in 3, 2, 1...

Interesting, but it's feature set is somewhat eclectic or even random.

I didn't see a battery life statement. Don't know if it is considered disposable after battery dies or has a replaceable.

That's the problem with these crowd-funding devices.

Some of them have replaceable batteries, other you toss after a year. Generally their BT 4.0/4.1, and the longest battery life I've seen for such a device is one year.

But no usage specs are ever given, so I always think the battery life is way over stated.

Biggest problem that I have with my crowd-funded locater/alarm devices is that they barely work from 10 feet away and their alarms are tiny mouse-squeaks.

If the batteries last a month or more than a year, that'll hardly matter. I've tossed 'em in a drawer and don't expect to use them.

Pebble will last up to 10 years, but it's really, really, low powered.

is that they barely work from 10 feet away and their alarms are tiny mouse-squeaks.

True dat.

Also, those squeaks are in high-enough freqs that I had a hard time hearing them if there was any distance between me and the device, or anything covering it.

Ok, recharging, good. If the battery could be user replaced when eventually required even better.

Damn. What I though was a large audio port is just the micro-USB charging port. I'm guessing, anyway. I was hoping that needed to be recharged every two months (not very long, as these devices tend to go) that maybe it made more noise than a mouse squeak.

It looks like crowd funding these days is all about having a really fancy web design
