seeking suggestions for movie scenes of skiing and snowboarding - Todd's keyboard - 09-21-2015
Folks,
I've been asked to come up with a curriculum of teenagers and parents from China who will be visiting Vancouver in the winter. The trip is a combination of learning and practicing English and a lot of skiing and winter activities.
Since I'm not a skier, I don't watch a lot of skiing movies. Are there any skiing scenes that you can recommend from different films? Both adventurous and comic scenes would work.

The opening of "For Your Eyes Only"
They not only learn to ski, but how to do so while drinking a martini (shaken, not stirred) and avoid automatic weapons fire from snowmobilers at the same time. A real modern cultural lesson.

A few Bond movies come to mind - the opening sequence of The Spy Who Loved Me is great. For Your Eyes Only as well has a few choice skiing scenes while Bond is being chased by an Olympic Biathalon competitor and his goons.
For more risque scenes, try Hot Dog: The Movie. The Chinese Downhill is classic.
