God.. that's hard to read. Amazing, but....
And THIS bit caused me tears and disgust over the press reaction to the scene at Christa's school.
"The principal came over the PA system and said something like, "We respectfully request that the media leave the building now. Now." Some of the press left, but some of them took off into the school. They started running into the halls to get pictures, to get sound—people were crying, people were running. It was chaos. Some students started chasing after journalists to physically get them out of the school."

When I first saw the news, it was crushing.
But then the media milked this tragedy, replaying in on all channels several times throughout the day. Often it seems like they just looped those seconds just before the explosion, and the crowds reaction. Over and over, for sound and video bites.
I called two local stations to complain, and it I wasn't the only one.
Eventually the local CBS station, KPIX, said they stopped airing the footage.
And then there was Sept. 11.

The ancient Greeks were pretty good at science in their time.
But they had an excellent understanding of the nature of Man.
There's a word from Greek Drama that we use even today that explains the Challenger disaster.
Hubris: noun - excessive pride or self-confidence.
