I guess George Lucas is out.

What can Ford do at 73? We expect Indiana to jump, race, fight, whip, etc.

Ford can act his butt off. That's his only skill that I can discern.

Ford was quite good in Ender's Game.

Sure. But he wasn't doing much jumping, racing, fighting or whipping.

I saw the running, jumping, fighting Indana's already. It's time for something different. Something deeper but still fun.

He is also an accomplished pilot. After his little accidental landing on a golf course in his WWII plane, his flight instructor told the slavering press that not only was Ford the best student he'd ever had, but had also had Ford assist him from time to time teaching other pilots.
And yes, he can act his butt off.

He's a really cool dude. One of my faves.

I wonder why Ford hasn't done any flat-out aviation themed movies. The other most accomplished movie star pilot, Jimmy Stewart, made some excellent ones like Spirit of St. Louis and Flight of the Phoenix.

I'm just guessing, but I think that directors having him do things in and with aircraft wrong "to make it more dramatic" would probably drive him nuts...
