This lens is 150-600mm on full frame and 225-900mm field of view on aps-c. It is not a light lens.
I have been using this lens for about a year now. It has been a nice alternative to hauling out my larger lenses. It doesn't AF as fast but it has been plenty fast for daytime outdoor sports.

Wow...that's a great price for a great lens. Too bad that I don't need the extra 100mm of reach over my Bigma OS.

I don't have direct knowledge of the Sigma but I read is performs well also. The Sigma has two models, one is the Sport model which is supposed to have faster AF. The Sigmas zoom the Canon clockwise direction, the Tamron zooms the Nikon counter-clockwise direction.
