I switched to Yahoo Map. Anyone else has as well?

I've never had any luck printing maps from Google. Can't say that I've tried others. What I always do is just make a screen capture of the paert I need and print that from Preview. Works well.

The "old" Google Map allowed for printing map only; not the newer version; Yahoo map does it better.

Not easy, but I just mess w/ layout and scaling, and print to pdf until it works as desired.... then print from Preview... similar to Uncle Wig... hit or miss as to how well print resolution works out (depending on scaling)... after a few attempts, have been known to just live w/ screen shot version... screen shot works best from 30" Mac Pro monitor, not as well from smaller laptop monitor.

Google maps have always been bad for printing, and keep getting worse. A while back they said they don't want people to print them.

Does right-click or option-click not give you an option to copy or download the map? I can't remember, and I've mostly stopped using Google Maps on my PowerBook because it's far too slow to load. Loved the older version.

Are you talking about printing just the map-segments from directions?
...Because there's no trick to printing just a map. Just click on the menu (three little lines on the left of the side-panel) and select "print."
...And printing just the big map from directions can be done by opting to print just page 1 of your directions.
I used to be able to collapse the text-part from the directions and selectively print only the portions of text that I wanted. I don't see that there's any way to do that anymore.

It used to be easier to print a map with more than 10 stops, especially if they were all in one city. Print to PDF from Firefox still sort of works if you are willing to spend the time to edit the output.
