SOLD: 15" mid-2009 Macbook Pro 2.53 - 4GB RAM/250GB HD - clay - 04-03-2016 ...sold elsewhere... I’ve got a Mid-2009 15” Macbook Pro 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo. 4 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard drive, 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU. Battery status showing as “Good” in Coconut Battery with 597 load cycles. Screen is bright and clear with no apparent dead pixels. Cosmetically, I’d rate it conservatively a 7 out of 10. Some scratching on the bottom of the case, but the keyboard and trackpad area are clean, the screen is in great shape, and there are only a few very minor scratches on the back side of the screen housing. Machine is in very good condition, with two notes to be aware of: -The trackpad works, but clicking seems to require a bit more force than normal to register. Mouse movement and all other trackpad functions seem normal. Perhaps there is a mechanical adjustment that could fix this issue. (FWIW, used/working trackpads are going for about $25 on eBay) -One of the four black rubber “feet” on the bottom of the case is missing. (FWIW, 3rd party replacements are under $5 on eBay) No charger will be included. The original OS DVDs are not included, but you should be able to install any recent OS (I currently have 10.10.5 on it). No original packaging or other accessories are included. If the machine doesn’t sell in its current state, I will likely go ahead and repair both of the issues above and re-list or part out the machine. If you’re interested in a stripped down version of the machine, I’d consider offers for that as well (like, no RAM or HD, etc). I’m seeing prices for these on eBay of $300+, even with some issues (a liquid damaged but working model with no battery sold for $295 a week ago). How about $300, shipping included for this one? Or, make me an offer. I accept paypal, Google Checkout, Amazon payments, check/M.O., etc. Items will ship upon receipt of cleared payment. Re: FOR SALE: 15" mid-2009 Macbook Pro 2.53 - 4GB RAM/250GB HD - sekker - 04-03-2016 Put an SSD in that machine, and it runs the latest OS just fine. I use one as my backup machine when this MBPR goes in for its regular Apple Store visits... Re: FOR SALE: 15" mid-2009 Macbook Pro 2.53 - 4GB RAM/250GB HD - clay - 04-03-2016 yup. Even with the spinning platter HD it has now, it doesn't feel all that much slower than my newer SSD-based Mac. Sure, with extensive use, you'd certainly notice the difference, but for many things, this is still quite a capable machine. |
