Happy Passover! - DP - 04-22-2016 Wishing you a Spring fresh with new promises and a Passover blossoming with joy! Happy Passover. Re: Happy Passover! - Ombligo - 04-22-2016 Hag Sameah v' kasher Re: Happy Passover! - neophyte - 04-22-2016 Gelfilte fish for lunch! Yum! Re: Happy Passover! - ka jowct - 04-22-2016 No Adorama or B&H for you!!! Re: Happy Passover! - rgG - 04-22-2016 Haroset or charoses!!! Charoset, haroset, or charoses is a sweet, dark-colored paste made of fruits and nuts eaten at the Passover Seder. ![]() I am not Jewish but, being married to my Jewish husband for 25 years, I am well versed in Passover. ![]() I love Matzoh balls and gefilte fish, but the harsoet is my absolute favorite. Luckily his mom lets me bring all the leftovers home, so I have it for days. This year, I am going to mix some in with my morning Steel Cut Oatmeal. Yummy! Re: Happy Passover! - SteveG - 04-22-2016 Eight days of matzoh. By the end, you know why it's called The Bread of Affliction. I'm trying to convince the relative whose seder I'm attending to make a special edition of the breast of veal she usually serves (along with all the other main dishes) for Passover. I've offered to bring gold leaf to put on top so we can have "Golden Calf" at the seder. She rates my chances no greater than Pharaoh having a successful beach holiday. And with the Friday/holiday traffic, you're going to need Moses with his staff to part the Hudson River if the Children of Israel are going to get to New Jersey in time for the seder. Re: Happy Passover! - Robert M - 04-22-2016 rgG, I love charoses. My mom's kicks serious butt. Unfortunately, I can't have any. In fact, I haven't had it since 2010. It's made with apples. Since I'm allergic to apples, even a single bite will kill me or put me in the hospital. Mackenfrackenfrickenfracken. Grrrrrr. Robert P.S. Happy Passover to everyone! May your balls be big and made of matzoh! Re: Happy Passover! - SteveG - 04-22-2016 And remember the Management Tip of the Day: Moses succeeded because of good staff work. or as a friend replied when I wrote: Underpass Passunder Passover! she wrote: "Passout- oops, sorry, that's Purim." May your pillow be fluffy. Happy Pesach. Re: Happy Passover! - rjmacs - 04-22-2016 Happy Passover indeed! Re: Happy Passover! - rgG - 04-22-2016 Robert M wrote: My husband was telling me there was a recipe he saw in the paper where they use dates instead of apples. Maybe your mom can make some of that. ![]() |
