Meanwhile, from the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals... - MrNoBody - 04-25-2016

The NY Times - wrote:
A three-judge panel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday overturned a lower-court ruling, deciding that N.F.L. Commissioner Goodell had broad discretion to suspend players according to the collective-bargaining agreement with the players’ union. The panel’s decision can be appealed to the full Second Circuit, or even the Supreme Court, but a victory for Brady at this point is a long shot, legal experts said.

One of the Judges also noted Mr. Brady's explanation for destroying his cellphone was just not believable.

So, the four game suspension for Mr. Brady is back in play.

So do they just remove his stats from the first four games of last season? At least they didn't win the superb owl.

The owl was pretty good, but I wouldn't call it superb.

The owl begs to differ.

Justice is mostly served!

Our court system should NEVER be burdened with this nonsense. I wish we had a way to include punitive damages to the nfl system to pay for other, important court cases.

Well, it's Brady who should have to pay, not the NFL.

Brady did not go to Court. The NFL sued him, so they started the case. the legal issue basically boils down to: the NFL can do whatever it wants, making it up as it goes, and anything it does is essentially unreviewable.

There is no evidence the Pats footballs were deflated below spec in that game or in any other game. Whether anyone in the Pats organization "did something" is not known. There is lots of evidence that the NFL was engaged in a campaign of misinformation and lies about the evidence and the process.
