source for aluminum extrusions for foamboard displays? - Mr Downtown - 04-25-2016

I'm looking for aluminum extrusions that foamboard panels would friction fit into to create exhibit displays. Who'll sell me three or four? In particular, I want one that would look like this in cross-section so that four half-inch pieces of foamboard would squeeze into the slots and the whole thing would stand upright on a tabletop, unsupported.

Have you tried McMaster Carr?

Another thought is to try building with 80/20 pieces. It's like an erector set for adults. My company makes lots of stuff out of it because they can do it really quick and dirty.

Or honestly, get some aluminum pucks and make your own for a few bucks.

Try these guys:

outwater catalog

Problems with others is that you may have to go through a local vendor rather than just purchase straight from the supplier.

Don't wander off into the LED section or the veneers and laminates. You could get lost in there...
