Quixote like, I'd remind the tech aware that there are vast legions who are not. From tweens and millennials with phones casually jammed half in, half out of a back pocket, to aging Gen Xers, chasing KidsCareersMortgages to many of us graying boomers, tech is not tech, it's toaster magic. Press down widget, magic happens, hot, gold brown and delicious is delivered without further intervention. Ease of use plus the chaos of life leads to an inattention that leads to learning not to jam a knife in it until it's too late.
Most don't get 'the memo' on bad people doing bad things until they hear about poor Dianne in accounting around the water cooler or the Today Show runs a piece about it six months after the first post on a forum.
In a world where their laptop once really could burst into flame while charging overnight, judge them not too harshly for falling prey to the idea that their phone could post their junk to Snapchat at the will of the Hacker People.
