Wisconsin comes to it's senses - pdq - 08-10-2016 Last one for now. Politico, again, with the results of the latest Marquette poll: Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump has tripled in Wisconsin since July, with the Democratic nominee now holding a double-digit advantage, according to a Marquette University Law School poll of likely voters released Wednesday. Ouch! ...and the down-ticket? In the Senate race, former Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold has expanded his five-point lead over Republican incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson from July. Feingold now leads with 53 percent support to Johnson’s 42 percent support. That's an 11 point deficit for the incumbent... I guess it's just NOT your lucky day! ![]() Re: Wisconsin comes to it's senses - bfd - 08-10-2016 Cheeseheads… Re: Wisconsin comes to it's senses - $tevie - 08-10-2016 (tu) Re: Wisconsin comes to it's senses - SteveG - 08-10-2016 It's a long, long way to election day. There hasn't been a sizable gun massacre in......uh, weeks. (Hey, I guess mass terror slayings don't count any more?) ![]() Brown AND Gay? Not a factor in NRA support for Trump. Re: Wisconsin comes to it's senses - RgrF - 08-11-2016 The Koch Brothers money infusion hasn't had time to take hold, look for the Senate numbers to start closing. Re: Wisconsin comes to it's senses - pdq - 08-11-2016 Unfortunately, today brings news that Iowa has lost its senses: In a four-way race that includes Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein, Trump [has a] one-point lead over Clinton, 37 percent to 36 percent... Why? Whyyyyyyyyy? The state’s demographics are especially challenging for Clinton, who is more dependent in Iowa than she is elsewhere on less-educated white voters, a group with which Trump performs very well. Oh. Yeah, I guess they've got a point there - this is the state that sent Jodi Ernst to Congress... Then it became painfully obvious when they elected him again in this century after 10 or so years out of office. And don't even mention Joni Ernst. (I'm a recovering former Iowan.)
