migration after a machine has been used? - Racer X - 09-24-2016

I recently got a used 2009 MBP here, and want to migrate everything from my 2007 MBP, but the 2009 has already been run.

I know there is a way to run migration assistant after the fact, but I have no idea how.

The 2007 will become a media server with a buttload of drives plugged in to the plethora of ports these older machines have. That and a USB 3 hub.

So long as there's no conflict between user account names and migration between the operating systems are compatible, you can migrate over and over again from different sources.

The MA resides in the Utilities folder.

stuff from a 10.6.8 2.4 C2D 2007 MBP to a 10.11.6 2.53 2009 C2D. Mostly user files and such. I can download or update the later versions of most of the software when the bulk has been transfered.
