Daughters of the Dust - vision63 - 09-27-2016 at 3:17 in this clip, I'm the slave with the afro and no shirt on in Julie Dash's "Daughters of the Dust." It was a trip seeing this. The tiny woman slave is my then girlfriend Lorna. The lead male is one of my best friends, Adisa who mentored me when I was a teenager. The director is a friend from my High School days. She was going to UCLA at that time. This was/is a landmark film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsz6x3Ux4W0 Re: Daughters of the Dust - hal - 09-27-2016 Wow! Yer a star! Looks like an interesting story - I'll check it out someday. Re: Daughters of the Dust - graylocks - 09-27-2016 Cool! Re: Daughters of the Dust - riley5108 - 09-27-2016 Wow indeed vision63, your cameo I assume!! There are 4 parts all very interesting. Thanks for sharing, Julie Dash's "Daughters of the Dust." Re: Daughters of the Dust - samintx - 09-27-2016 I have this movie. Bought it way back in the '90s. Excellent movie. Shot on the South Carolina Sea Islands near Beaufort. Re: Daughters of the Dust - steve... - 09-28-2016 Sounds like a great time to have experienced.
